Qld: Roo carcasses stolen in outback Queensland = 2
A spokesman from Aussie Game Meats said the carcasses were due to be exported to Europe,
where kangaroo meat can fetch a high price due to its increasing popularity as a dining
alternative.
"You can imagine what they're prepared to pay for it over there - it's added value
to the whole industry, and that's probably why people are doing something as stupid as
trying to steal them," the spokesman told AAP.
