QLD: Baywatch to meet Qld tourism minister tomorrow

GOLD COAST, Qld, Feb 25 AAP - Queensland Tourism Minister Bob Gibbs will meet Baywatch
executive producer Greg Bonnan tomorrow in a bid to woo the world's most popular television
series to the Gold Coast.

Baywatch was to have been filmed at Avalon, on Sydney's northern peninsula, but a vocal
group of local residents rejected Mr Bonnan's plans, giving the Gold Coast an opportunity to
pitch for the show.

A spokesman for Mr Gibbs said Mr Bonnan would be looking for some incentive from the state
government for the series to be relocated to …
